Marwan A. Wehbé, MD, FAAOS, FACS is an orthopedic Hand Surgeon who has been practicing Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery exclusively, since 1982. He has been elected “Best of Philadelphia” and “Best of Main Line” repeatedly.
He is the Medical Director of the Pennsylvania Hand Center, with headquarters in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He concentrates his practice on the care, surgery and rehabilitation of problems of the Hand, Wrist and upper extremity, including Peripheral Nerve Problems. Doctor Wehbe is currently seeing patients in Bryn Mawr only. Doctor Wehbé performs most surgeries at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Dr. Wehbé completed his training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Iowa, and did a fellowship in Hand Surgery at Jefferson Medical College, in Philadelphia. He then did additional training in wrist surgery at the Mayo clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and microsurgery at Ralph K. Davis Hospital, in San Francisco. He then organized the microsurgery and hand trauma team at Jefferson University Hospital where he practiced until 1985, when he moved to Bryn Mawr to start the Pennsylvania Hand Center. He is board Certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and in Hand Surgery.
Dr. Wehbé is well known locally, nationally and internationally for his contributions to hand and wrist surgery. He is actively involved in patient care, research and teaching. He has published extensively on the topics of Hand, Wrist and Upper Extremity Surgery and Rehabilitation, and Peripheral Nerve Problems. He is actively involved in the teaching of Medical Students, Residents, and Hand Therapists. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery (Hand) at Jefferson Medical College. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Wehbé is on the Staff of Jefferson University Hospital, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital, Paoli Surgery Center, Phoenixville Hospital, and Pottstown Hospital . He is very active in local, national and international societies, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association for Hand Surgery, International Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AMA, American College of Surgeons, Pennsylvania Medical Society and Local Medical and Orthopedic Societies.
